Anthony Gordon: Chelsea has made a move for Everton starlet Anthony Gordon, sources have confirmed 90 Minutes. Gordon, 21, has already been the subject of interest this summer as Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United both failed to make bids.
Everton resisted earlier offers, insisting Gordon was not for sale and would bid more than £50m even if he was – with Tottenham and Newcastle both at £40m. Will not go much. Chelsea has now made an approach and is believed to have come in with an initial deal worth just over £40m.
90 Minutes understands that Everton is weighing up their options as Chelsea look set to strike a deal that could include the player, with Toffees boss Frank Lampard believed to be interested in doing so.
Scott Saunders, Graeme Bailey, and Sean Walsh bring you Talking Transfers, Man Utd’s implementation of the transfer market in target deals for Adrian Rabiot and Marko Arnautovic, Man City’s stance on selling Bernardo Silva to Barcelona, Wilfried Zaha’s future, and more.
