Erling Haaland is confirmed as FIFA 23 Ones to Watch

EA Sports has announced the first FUT 23 player to watch as Manchester City’s Erling Holland. Before the official release of FIFA 23.

Holland moved to Man City from Borussia Dortmund at the start of the summer. The OTW Promo is the first promo released each year in Ultimate Team, with the biggest summer transfers giving exclusive player items that can be upgraded throughout the FUT 23 calendar.

Based on the player’s real-world performance, OTW player items will be boosted each time the player is named to the FIFA 23 Team of the Week (TOTW) squad or earns a MOTM player item. In FIFA 22, OTW items also receive a one-time, +1 boost if their team wins five of their next 10 domestic league games starting on a certain date.

FIFA 23 will receive a worldwide release on Friday, September 30, 2022, meaning we could see the FUT 23 Ones to Watch promo begin on the same date. Since the introduction of Ones to Watch in FIFA 17, each promo has been released on the first Friday after release.

And, with FIFA 23 releasing worldwide on Friday, it is likely to be available in FUT from the same date. In FIFA 22, the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, and Jadon Sancho were featured in OTW promos.

And, based on transfers already made this summer, FUT 23 could see the likes of Sadio Mane, Robert Lewandowski, Raheem Sterling, and Paul Pogba join Haaland in the squad. 35 OTW players were released in FIFA 22, some players were released through squad building challenges and objectives.

If you pre-order FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition by September 29, 2022, you’ll get an untradeable one-to-watch player.

FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early Access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition will begin on September 27, 2022.
